Community Health Charities of Maine is a federation of 22 health organizations joined together to raise charitable contributions in the workplace. Employee donations are used to support these member charities and their programs that provide research, patient services, health education and outreach in local communities.
With Community Health Charities of Maine as a part of a workplace giving campaign, employees can touch the lives of people they know and love, and at the same time help someone they have never met by having a charitable donation automatically deducted from their paycheck. Employees designate the charity or charities where they want their donation to go, and Community Health Charities of Maine does the rest. |
Membership requirements must be met by all participating agencies. Below are some of the basic criteria:

- Meet local, state and federal regulations for solicitation of Maine citizens
- Classified as non-profit, 501(C)3, with the IRS
- Provide health programs and services throughout Maine
- Demonstrate sound financial management
- Maintain an active volunteer governing board
